The Replacement Rubber Cap # 37262105 is designed to fit over a brass city water inlet like the RV City Water Inlet # 372321-B-36-A. The notch in the rubber cap will only allow for a limited amount of room to fit over the city water inlet.

We have a city water inlet with a 1/2" FPT that is very close to what you are describing, but the flange is slightly smaller, so it isn't exact. I did want to mention it just in case it turns out you are able to use them. Each of the following inlets have a 1/2" FPT, 2-7/8" flange outer diameter, and measure 1-5/8" from the back of the flange to the end of the valve:

You should only need the Valterra Check Valve for RV Fresh Water Systems # P23415LFVP at the cold inlet of your water heater. Typically you will have a total of three fresh water check valves; one at the cold inlet to the water heater, one at the city water inlet and one located at the outlet of the water pump. view full answer...
The Valterra Water Inlet for RVs # A01-0178LFVP does not have a pressure regulator so you would need to purchase one like the # A01-1124VP separately if you wanted regulate the pressure running to your RV. This water inlet does have a check valve though to prevent water from backfeeding. I was not able to find anything with the LM38166 part number provided. The RV City Water Inlet with Brass Check Valve # 37262145 fits a 1-1/2" diameter cutout and has a 1/2" MPT fitting. We also have this with a 1/2" FPT fitting if that matches what you currently have.

While we do have replacement water hatch inlets available (but not gas hatches), there are none for specific RVs so we wouldn't know if they are the same as newer models. In order to determine the correct water inlet you just need to know your water line and cut out size.
For example, if it was a city water inlet and you had a 1/2" MPT tank connection and your cut out was 5-7/8" wide x 4-3/4" high you would use the Valterra City Water Inlet and Lockable Hatch for RVs # A01-2004VP.

The Dometic 310 Part-Timer RV Toilet # DOM57FR water inlet is a 1/2" NPT fitting. All of the RV toilets that we currently offer have a low water inlet, just like the # DOM37FR you were looking at. The only solution would be to get an extension hose with a 90 degree fitting so that you can attach to inlet and have enough hose to bend around and avoid the wall. view full answer...

In most all situations this will not be an issue. There is the small chance that the vent on the Valterra Water Inlet for RVs part # A01-2003VP would allow water to seep out in the event of an extreme bouncing situation or at extreme angles with an off road trailer.
By design the tube connecting from the vent to the tank is of pretty good length so the water would have to travel a good distance. Also in most cases they will have looped the tube to help prevent any water loss. view full answer...
